About
The Friends of the Hampden Park want to highlight the vital role of green spaces in boosting the health and well-being of residents and the community.
We are determined to preserve and improve the flora and fauna and maintain the park's proud heritage.
We aim to engage and work with Eastbourne Borough Council to assist with the management, maintenance and development of the park and gardens.
However as a small group of volunteers our efforts are focused on the main ornamental gardens surrounding Decoy Pond.
Other areas, such as the woodlands, the skate park, play park, or overflowing bins etc are the responsibility of Eastbourne Borough Council. If you have any issues with these areas please contact the Council at https://www.lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk/report-a-problem.

Our aims
We want to encourage more people to become paid-up members and join us in our efforts to improve the park. You can help us by making suggestions, or offering your help with future social and fundraising events.
Get in touch by posting on the Friends of the Hampden Park Facebook page, or using the contact form on this website.
The Friends of the Hampden Park committee will hold regular meetings to discuss new ideas and matters of concern. We will provide feedback to keep everyone informed of our plans and progress.
We will produce newsletters with updates on our progress, future social and fundraising events, and any other news relating to the park and gardens.
We will hold an Annual General Meeting, to which members will be invited.
We will follow the principles laid out in our Constitution.
